dug up pictures on my old putter. felt like uploading.

this was a model done a while for a casino here in the north bay on the Hopland Indian Reservation. Unfortunately they thought it was too over the top, and went with something more subdued. Too 'Vagas like' is the vibes that we got. Made at a shop called CMN Enterprises a while ago.

My friend Angie and I, who was also a co-worker worked on this together. Brought lots of supplies from my own studio at home to work for this one. Even though this design was rejected, it did manage to land the company some gigs from them- I think some of the kids even played with it when it was displayed at the town hall meetings, it came back for repairs several times

well model making & dioramas is a lot of fun, its what im trying to encourage with this new mini project, i may have to take some time off in the near future and just paint and build some of my own creations just to give an idea of what can be done with just a little bit of balsa wood, paints and foliage.
So far things are going pretty good, soon our own spin casting machine is deffinately on the horizon. After that, we can dabble in just about every genre out there. 1950's Roswell, to Ancient Egypt.

(Ever heard of Hirst Arts?) Thats some pretty awesome stuff-theyll sell you the rubber moulds and then you cast your own building blocks and make castles, egyptian/grecco-roman temples, etc. etc.

Transparent resin was used for the water, magic-sulpt for what i call the 'Yoda trees', woodland scenics for the foliage, with a carved foam base. I even went as far as suspending tiny fish in the resin as it was curing.
