Old stuff i found on one of my other puters.
Oil based clay
Halloween Mask design for a company called Illussive Concepts from a while ago.
I had a lot of creative freedom there to interperet loose sketch designs into a 3-D piece. Sometimes the were a hit, sometimes a miss.
Its commercial work, so you dont have a whole lot of time to sit there and fool around.
I was reading a book called 'Strad's Possession' (Ravenloft) at the time and there was this artwork on the cover-it was a painting of Strad emerging from Castle Ravenloft and his cape was morphing into batwings, i thought it was cool so i kinda went with that sort of deal where the cape is organic and part of his body. It was supposed to be like he was at the point of morphing into this bat monster, but still recognizable as humanoid.
I drew on Ravenloft as a source of a lot of inspirations.
Sometimes i feel like i just sort of went into my own little world and what i came back with, co-workers just sorta went "huh???"
"what tha hek is that?..."
i dunno. picture it with 'Fright Night' -ish hair.
remember fright night?
